December Cara Box

This month I was so excited to join something called the Cara box. *Refer to a previous post*
I was fortunate enough to get to know two lovely ladies, one whom I sent a box to and the other sent me one!
I was so excited to get my box I opened it in the car at the Post Office!

Taber sent me a box this time, my first box by the way!
It was so exciting. Unfortunately I couldn't get a picture of the glass angel she sent with my box because I broke her wing off and put it up so my boys wouldn't mess with it until I could try to fix her :( boo I know!

So Sorry for the cruddy Iphone picture.
She got me cute window clings, which my children wanted to take over,
a glittery Christmas ornament (it matches my tree decor perfectly!),
the most amazing lip gloss, and red glittery nail polish. Plus the crystal angel with the currently broken wing. I was so upset about that because she even wrapped it nicely so it wouldn't break during shipping and I broke it when I opened it! ugh.

Thanks again Taber for putting a little sparkle in  my holiday!

Kaitlyn started all this Cara Box jazz, what a great idea right?
You can find her here. Wifessionals

Blessings on this New Years Eve.

Wonderous Wednesday

I wanted to share with you all a poem I found on Dr. Phil's Facebook page.

Twas' 11 days before Christmas, around 9:38
when 20 beautiful children stormed through heaven's gate.
their smiles were contagious, their laughter filled the air.
they could hardly believe all the beauty they saw there.
they were filled with such joy, they didn't know what to say.
they remembered nothing of what had happened earlier that day.
"where are we?" asked a little girl, as quiet as a mous...
e.
"this is heaven." declared a small boy. "we're spending Christmas at God's house."
when what to their wondering eyes did appear,
but Jesus, their savior, the children gathered near.
He looked at them and smiled, and they smiled just the same.
then He opened His arms and He called them by name.
and in that moment was joy, that only heaven can bring
those children all flew into the arms of their King
and as they lingered in the warmth of His embrace,
one small girl turned and looked at Jesus' face.
and as if He could read all the questions she had
He gently whispered to her, "I'll take care of mom and dad."
then He looked down on earth, the world far below
He saw all of the hurt, the sorrow, and woe
then He closed His eyes and He outstretched His hand,
"Let My power and presence re-enter this land!"
"may this country be delivered from the hands of fools"
"I'm taking back my nation. I'm taking back my schools!"
then He and the children stood up without a sound.
"come now my children, let me show you around."
excitement filled the space, some skipped and some ran.
all displaying enthusiasm that only a small child can.
and i heard Him proclaim as He walked out of sight,
"in the midst of this darkness, I AM STILL THE LIGHT."

I don't get many comments on my blog, but I thought I'd politely ask for anyone to refrain from negative comments if they should have any about this post.
You're free to email me thoughts if you have any.

No words could express the state my heart feels for these families and that community.
This tragedy caused parents to hold children tighter and cherish them deeply.
My hope is that some day their burdens lighten and their hearts find peace.
If you would please join me in praying for everyone affected

Forgiveness

Check out this video. It's about Matthew West's song called Forgiveness.

This is the one thing I struggle with, maybe some of you do too.

I'd like to share part of my testimony because it is very similiar to this story, but I just can't find the words. I tried for weeks to write this post, half way done then erased the whole thing.
That being said, I'm working on forgiveness. I hope during this holiday season you are as well.

Happy Thursday!
Kayla

Cara Box

Wifessionals hosts something called a Cara Box exchange.

I am so excited to be part of December's Cara Box.
This is my first month, so I'm still learning about it.
Basically all these girls sign up, you get to know 2 different people (1 your sending a box to and the other whom is sending a box to you).
What a great concept, right?  I'll let you know what and who I get for this month!

Blessings,
Kayla
